Sadly we have had to cancel all sailing in April, May and June, as well as our planned Round Ireland voyage over the summer, as a result of the Coronavirus crisis.
We have assumed that we can recommence sailing in August, and are offering week voyages on Thermopylae and / or Discovery which will either go across the Channel, or down to the West Country during the first two weeks of August. For the second part of August, our plan is now to enter Thermopylae as well as Discovery into the ASTO Mayflower Small Ships Race (details below). Click on this link to see the full programme. To express interest or book, Contact Us
In August, Discovery and Thermopylae will be taking part in the Mayflower Small Ships Race, organised by ASTO. This starts on Friday 14th Aug with a rendezvous in Southampton, followed by a practice race day, before the passage race to Dartmouth. On arrival there will be the usual crew parade and prize giving before the crew leaves on Friday 21st. This is a superb opportunity to race against a fleet of Sail Training vessels and enjoy the spectacle and atmosphere of a Small Ships Race. There will then be a one week cruise home from Dartmouth to our base near Southampton, possibly via the Channel Islands. If your Scouts / Explorers / Network group are interested in taking part in either the Race or the Cruise home please Contact Us
Thermopylae Clipper will be entering the Tall Ships Races again in 2021. These are being held in Baltic, and involve visiting Estonia, Mariehamn Islands, Poland, Germany and the Netherlands. Details and the full programme can be found here. Please Contact Us if you would like more details, and to express interest.
We are getting a lot of bookings for our very popular weekend sailing voyages in 2021, not least as we’ve had to cancel weekends this year. The programme can found here, and again, please Contact Us if you would like to book.
